travel the voyage of self discovery

The small beach of Liveros remains home to the shipwreck of the merchant ship Olympia. It ran aground on the reef back in 1979 on a return trip from Cyprus.Efforts to tug the boat out failed leaving the wreck an iconic landmark and tourist of the island of Amorgos.Half of the boat is now submerged under the sea, the rusty dilapidated remains battered and beaten by the waves. The wreck was made famous when Luc Besson used it in the filming of the movie “big blue”.
